IDEAS Autism Centre (IAC) was established in 2012 in Rawang, Selangor, by the Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs (IDEAS) Berhad (940689-W) as part of our effort to provide care for those in need, and at the same time to do research and develop a sustainable non-profitable model that can be replicated to help underprivileged children.
At IAC, we believe in an individual approach and use different treatments and therapies. IAC has its own curriculum that is based on the national curriculum, combined with ABA, TEACCH, Son-Rise and the STAR Programme.
Our curriculum is focused on the development of the child and teaches attending, listening, language, communication, pre-academic, academic, self-help, social and play skills. IAC provides one-on-one session to determine the behaviour intervention plan for each student.
Here are our exciting events…would be great to see you at the next one!
Over 450,000 people with disabilities are registered at the Ministry of Welfare.
There are at least 47,000 people in Malaysia on the Autism Spectrum Disorder.
9,000 children are diagnosed with autism every year. NGO’s in Malaysia can cater to 1500 children only.
148 children aged 3-9 years old have been enrolled in IAC since 2012.
More than 300 external and internal trainings for parents and teachers have been conducted since 2016.
More than 85 of our children aged 7-9 years old have successfully enrolled in public schools.
When you donate to our cause, you help an underprivileged child get a brighter future.
IDEAS Autism Centre is thankful for anyone who is willing to volunteer their time, skills and expertise to make a difference to children in need.
